I have always liked going on roadtrips. Every summer my family went on a vacation and we always went in the car. Wednesday night we had to go from Lima to Arequippa, Peru, for our team’s annual meeting. It’s about a 14 hour drive and we rode with three other people from our team. Before we left we went to a convenience store in Lima that has a bunch of imports. We loaded up on Dr. Peppers, Moutain Dew, and candy bars. Then we drove through the night to get there. We had a fun night catching up and listening to music.
I’ve never been on this road before, so I didn’t know what to expect. We knew we were on the edge of a tall mountain, but when the sun started coming up, we realized on the other side of the cliff was the ocean. It was beautiful to see so much of the ocean stretching out before us and the waves beating against the rocks.
We arrived exhausted but we had a fun roadtrip. We are having a great time here with everyone and are so happy to be reunited with our team. More about that as the week progresses.
If the road was anything like the picture on your blog, it looks very scary.
Can’t wait to see pictures. There is much to be said for sugar and caffine????? The
little guys loved seeing your team. We
will continue to pray for God’s will regarding
the team.
Love!!!!
